What 'Premium' Should Mean When a Florist Says It

Turn the word premium into a specification: count, appearance, arrangement, handling and the service you actually need.

“Premium” is not a complete flower specification. It can refer to a larger bouquet, a particular variety, elaborate presentation or a service package. Ask the seller which of those the extra price buys.

Four things worth specifying

The flowers. Ask for count, variety where important, colour and approximate dimensions. Stem length should suit the arrangement; it is not a universal quality certificate.

The design. A hand-tie, vase arrangement and presentation box are different objects. Choose the one that fits the recipient's space and ability to care for it. A substantial box may be a feature you want, not wasted money by definition.

Condition and handling. Ask about the current flowers, not just the supplier's usual sourcing story. A farm name or an imported label does not prove remaining vase life. The freshness guide explains what you can and cannot judge visually.

The service. Confirm delivery, the card, any requested photograph, and support if the order differs from the agreed brief. An attractive website or a high price does not establish these details.

What a premium label cannot prove

It does not establish a named florist's experience, an exclusive farm allocation, a cut-to-order schedule or a guaranteed number of vase days. Those require their own evidence. Likewise, a cheaper seller is not necessarily using older flowers or less skilled staff.

We do not have a verified cost breakdown for presentation boxes, hand-tying or competitors' margins. This guide therefore does not assign a wholesale cost to any feature or infer a seller's profit from the retail price.

Decide what matters for this gift

For a dinner, you may want the arrangement to look open and complete that evening. For a desk, modest dimensions and easy care may matter more. For an event, delivery, placement and collection can be as important as the flowers. Explain the use before choosing a tier.

If upgrading, ask for the concrete difference between the two options. Is it more flowers, a different variety, a vessel or additional service? If the answer does not matter to your brief, you do not need the upgrade.

FlowerRova's position

We source through private farms in Thailand and use imports according to the flowers and availability. Compare our rose range and bouquet collection by their stated specifications. Review the applicable freshness terms; this guide does not expand them into a no-conditions guarantee.
