The plants and their associations
The Foundation discusses Bermuda grass and eggplant flowers, with ixora and popped rice also commonly used. Its account connects grass with resilience, the bowed eggplant flower with respect, ixora with sharp intelligence and popped rice with growth. Popped rice is not a “popcorn flower”. These are cultural associations, not a requirement that every ceremony use an identical tray.
If your school asks for a phan, a pedestalled presentation tray, get its specification rather than choosing a decorative bouquet and assuming it serves the same purpose.
Ask the school first
