What Wedding Flowers Actually Cost in Bangkok
Bouquet, ceremony, reception and installations, with real ranges. Where the money goes, where it is wasted, and how to cut a budget without it showing.
Wedding flower quotes in Bangkok range from ฿25,000 to well past ฿500,000 for weddings of similar guest counts. The variation is almost entirely about installations, not about flowers. Here is the breakdown.
The components, with real ranges
Bridal bouquet: ฿3,500–฿12,000. The single most photographed floral item at the wedding, and the one worth spending on. A hand-tied bouquet of good stems sits at the upper end for a reason — it appears in more photographs than anything else you buy.
Bridesmaids' bouquets: ฿1,200–฿3,000 each. Scale down deliberately; they should not compete with the bride's.
Boutonnières and corsages: ฿250–฿600 each. Small money, and easy to over-order — count the actual people who need one.
Ceremony arch or backdrop: ฿15,000–฿120,000. The widest range of anything, and where budgets are won or lost. A fully-flowered arch is at the top; a foliage structure with focused floral clusters achieves 80% of the effect at 30% of the cost.
Aisle arrangements: ฿800–฿3,000 each, times however many rows you flower. Flowering every second row rather than every row halves this and is not noticed.
Reception centrepieces: ฿1,500–฿6,000 per table. Multiply by table count and this becomes the largest single line at most weddings. Twenty tables at ฿3,000 is ฿60,000.
Top table / sweetheart table: ฿5,000–฿20,000.
Cake flowers, signing table, entrance: ฿3,000–฿15,000 combined.
Realistic totals
- Small, 50–80 guests, restrained: ฿35,000–฿70,000
- Mid-size, 120–180 guests, hotel ballroom: ฿90,000–฿220,000
- Large, statement installations: ฿300,000+
A commonly quoted rule is 8–12% of total wedding budget. In Bangkok that holds reasonably well.
Where the money actually goes
Not on flowers. On a large wedding, labour and structure frequently exceed the cost of the stems. An arch requires a frame, transport, on-site build time, and a team to strike it afterwards. Centrepieces require vessels, transport, setting and collection.
This is why quotes vary so much: one florist is quoting flowers plus a crew of six for a day, another is quoting flowers.
Always ask what is included: delivery, setup, on-site time, strike, and vessel hire or purchase. Vessels in particular — buying two hundred vases is a very different number from hiring them.
Cutting the budget without it showing
Reduce table count, not centrepiece quality. Ten good centrepieces on ten tables beats twenty poor ones. Alternate flowered tables with candle-only tables — it looks deliberate, and it is a common design choice rather than an obvious economy.
Foliage structures with floral focal points. For arches and backdrops this is the single biggest saving available and frequently looks better than a fully-flowered structure, which can read heavy.
Move ceremony flowers to the reception. The arch arrangements can be repurposed onto the top table or entrance. Agree this with the florist in advance; it needs designing for.
Use seasonal Thai stems. November to February is peak local rose season and the value is genuinely excellent. Insisting on imported peonies in July is where budgets disappear.
Skip the aisle. Guests look at the couple, not the floor.
What not to cut
The bridal bouquet, and the reception entrance. Both are disproportionately photographed and both are seen up close.
